Director of Development - Visiting Nurse Services of CT, Bridgeport – The successful incumbent will focus on administering, directing, and coordinating fund raising activities and grant procurement. Significant duties include development and coordination of annual/special giving programs/events, constituent database, special events, and fostering relationships with volunteers and donors. The individual will proactively seek and procure grants to support VNS programs, services, and needs. Candidate will also develop and participate in planning for long-range strategies and growth of fund raising and grant-writing activities of the Corporation, recommending initiatives, and formulating major objectives.
Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Marketing, or related field. Five (5) years experience of progressive development and grant writing experience with proven successful fund raising campaigns and grant awards. Experience in a non-profit, health care or related business preferred.
This high profile senior administrative position requires high energy level, strong marketing and solicitation abilities, analytical capacity, tactfulness, maturity, and solid reasoning abilities. Candidate must be results oriented.

Development Director – The Mattatuck Museum seeks a creative and strategic thinker to lead efforts to expand and diversify the museum’s funding sources and donor base.

Donor Relations Director – The Southern New England Division of The Salvation Army (www.salvationarmyct.org) seeks a dedicated, results-oriented, accomplished Donor Relations Director to serve Fairfield and Litchfield counties. S/he will develop and manage a portfolio of 140-150 donors giving $5,000 to $50,000 with the capacity to give $500,000 or more. The Division operates 25 Corps Community Centers in Connecticut and Rhode Island, providing emergency services, after school and day care programs, a summer camp, music and worship arts workshops, and more. In 2011 alone this Division provided more than 384,000 meals and 16,000 nights of shelter.
