President's Message

Dear Colleagues in Fundraising,

Welcome to the website of the Fairfield County Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. We work in a challenging but very rewarding profession. Our chapter and all of our AFP colleagues are dedicated to promoting professionalism and ethical fundraising, and have been doing so for 50 years.

Our profession constantly changes, but does so by building on foundation blocks common to good fundraising. We believe that we are members of a human community, who care for each other and want to support each other. We share our resources to help those who need them. Put simply, we know how to “ask” because we know how to, and do, give of ourselves.

Fairfield County AFP works hard to help you become the best fundraiser you can be. Our monthly luncheon programs take place at the Quattro Pazzi restaurant in Norwalk. We meet on the first Thursday of the month, nine times a year; our luncheon meal is served at noon. At each meeting we offer good food, an educational experience and a community of colleagues, all for just $25 for our members! Non-members are more than welcome to join us (and many do) but the cost for non-members is $45 (just one demonstration of the value of membership).
